An excellent new Finance Analyst opportunity has been created within a charity based in Stourbridge. The charity is going through exciting times and has recently implemented a new accounting system and as a result centralised some of the accounting functions. Thus creating the new role of Finance Analyst to work closely with the Finance Director (practice background) and the growing Central Finance Team.
Your role will provide necessary financial support for all of the charity’s activities, particularly in data analysis, the development and improvement of the budgeting process, cashflow reporting and creating a dashboard of KPIs for the Charity.
The main duties of the Finance Analyst will include:
Perform analytical reviews to ensure the P+L of all entities is as expected and variances are understood;
Perform data analysis on all entities’ finances to provide robust financial assessment & recommendations, including review of coding;
Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for the Central Head office in line with month end timetable;
Produce regular reports on a dashboard of KPIs for the charity as a whole;
Journal reviews for the charity wide;
Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis;
Ensure major supplier account reconciliations are completed periodically;
Preparation of monthly cashflow reporting and forecasts;
Assist in providing support to the annual budgets and forecasts;
Support business managers in evaluating and interpreting financial data in business reviews;
Proactively and continuously improve processes and systems;
Other duties as required by the Finance Director such as provide financial modelling or to support the finance function on adhoc projects.
You will be:
Either part qualified or qualified accountant preferably ACCA/ACA;
Must have hands on experience in preparing accounts, ideally from a multi-sited environment;
Knowledge & understanding of internal controls & core accounting systems and processes;
Possess good analytical skills and be able to manipulate data within Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables);
Ability to work in a high volume data environment;
Highly numerate and analytical with a keen eye for detail that is deadline focused and goal orientated;
Good organisation skills & methodical with good time management skills, used to delivering to tight timetables;
Have excellent communication skills and able to build relationships at all levels (both finance and non-finance) within the charity;
Be proactive and able to work independently while unsupervised.
