As part of the strategy for continuous improvement, the company has created a new role for an Accounts Assistant to help support the day to day aspects of finance and assist the small finance team in the effective running of the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
This role would suit candidates looking to expand their accounts experience or an experienced individual ready for a new challenge. The salary and package are very desirable with a study package on offer.
Your role as Accounts Assistant will be all-encompassing:
Logging and processing of sales invoice processing and credit notes;
Allocation of customer cash receipt;
Prepare periodic age debtors ledger for review;
Ensure accruals for all unapproved invoices are logged for;
Process purchase invoices including matching to GRN’s & PO’s;
Assist in clearing invoice queries and matching to supplier delivery notes;
Liaise with internal stakeholders, dealing with invoicing queries and payment enquiries;
Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies;
Document management (scanning, digital imaging, filing, document destruction);
Support with ad hoc tasks as required by the Accounts Department.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience of working in an accounts environment in a medium to large-sized business;
IT skills and SAP skills would be advantageous;
The ability to work under pressure;
Attention to detail and the ability to ensure that tasks are completed accurately;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
A proactive and creative approach to their tasks and responsibilities;
Forward thinking and a willingness to embrace change;
Flexibility as a team player with the ability to work on their initiative;
Commitment and determination to succeed.
