Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a vital role in managing monthly accounts and driving financial accuracy. You’ll be the first line of contact with internal stakeholders and the accounts team, providing an opportunity to collaborate and make a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly and End-of-Month Accounts:

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly and end-of-month accounts for the multi-sited business;
• Ensure journals, accruals and prepayments are prepared’

Financial Reporting:

• Be responsible for preparing Field Service Reporting;
• Manage Open Book Service Reconciliations;
• Accounting for provisions;
• Prepare AR for Open Book;
• Handle Spare Parts Reporting;
• Oversee Service Commission.

Taxation and Compliance:

• Take the lead on VAT preparation;
• Support the year-end process and provide information for auditors;

Project Support:

• Manage small project preparation;
• Ensure Load Bank payments are ready for authorisation;
• Handle FX preparation;

General Support:

• Provide additional support as and when required by the finance Controller.

You will ideally be:

• Part qualified in CIMA or ACCA;
• 3-4 years of experience in management accounting;
• Proficiency in IFRS with experience and knowledge;
• Advanced Excel skills (Vlook ups, Pivot Tables);
• Experience in preparing UK VAT returns;
• Outstanding attention to detail;
• Exceptional communication abilities across all levels;
• A team player who is adaptable and flexible;
• Proficiency in PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Ideally, knowledge of SAP or similar systems;
• A willingness to meet deadlines;
• Eagerness to develop people skills for potential line management responsibilities.
